State Reimbursement Policy

All health insurance providers, whether government-funded or private-owned, cannot compel an individual to get telemedicine or telehealth services instead of in-person services when he or she prefers the latter. 

Reimbursement rates for healthcare services delivered via telemedicine shall not exceed what applies to in-person services. 

As for eligible distant sites, reimbursement depends on the license holder. An individual or independent practitioner does not have location restrictions tied to his or her license and hence, can render services from anywhere as long as the patient is located within state boundaries.
